Username: Well you’re Liz, and you’re from Austin… Doesn’t scream imaginative, but I suppose it’s to the point. It wouldn’t make me click your name, it wouldn’t get my attention at all really – but it’s okay. (3/5) Title: I like this a lot, it’s nice. Simple yet got something about it that is just appealing. (5/5) First Sight: I love that picture, and the quote is nice too. It really is lovely. I like the colours and the lay-out of it all. It looks good, but then I realized how much scrolling I’m going to have to do to get to your entry underneath that big picture! What can I say, I’m lazy. Otherwise though I liked the look of it though so I suppose I can’t dock too many points for my own personal lack of energy to scroll. (9/10) Your Sacrifice: You rarely skip, and if you do there’s plenty of multiples to compensate. You’ve also had this diary quite a long time (and a diary on a different name before that) So, all in all it deserves a round of applause, sadly I haven’t the energy for that but I’m offering a weak smile. (8/8) Sparkling Diamond: Okay, credit for this design goes to Vanished . It’s very dark, and has a beautiful picture. I like the colours, and although they’re a little bit Halloween – they seem to go well and look quite pretty. It’s all very clear and tidy which is obviously a plus, I love organised templates just because I can’t seem to achieve that. My main problem with your design is that I have to scroll down quite a way before I get to your actual entries, and when reading quite a few, like you have to do when reviewing a diary – it gets a little tiresome. I was reading an entry where you said that you thought your template matched your personality – and although I wouldn’t of said that it was a painfully apparent connection – at least you bothered to explain it. I’m glad that the lyrics had a meaning beyond that they were just nice, as otherwise I probably wouldn’t of made the personal connection. All in all, it seems that this design did suit you – and if people took the time to look into it a bit more they’d probably see that. I have to agree that the design is dark, but it appeals to me anyway – and you’ve gone to the extent of explaining why it means something to you – it looks like you made a real effort with it not just picked some random template. Good good, I’d be interested in seeing a design you did yourself actually, but as far as templates go – looks like you did a good job choosing. (22/25) Guestbook: I like the lilac background colour but the black looks very harsh up against it, but maybe that’s just me being picky… it appears clear and simple enough. (2/2) Readability: All really clear. No squashed up, good font size, face and colour. C’est parfait. (5/5)
The Love: Well at first I thought I’d start a few months back just to get an idea of where you are now, and with your entries all being so long I knew it would take me a while anyway – if needs be I’d go back further after that. So I started on your two year anniversary entries. Perhaps this was a mistake, they were a crazy kind of long and it was a lot of rambling and a lot of catching up - but I stuck it out, determined to make it. I suppose in a way it was actually quite a helpful place to start as it seemed to document all the major events I’d missed in the last year or so - at least I had an idea what had been going on. I have to confess I skim-read bits of it, but for the most part I read it slowly - trying to make sense of it all… It was really long and while I appreciate the amount of time and effort went into those entries, for new readers it just was too much. If I hadn’t been reviewing your diary there is no way I would of read through it all, though maybe friends would make the effort and genuinely love the walk down memory lane. At the end of the day though I was left asking myself, if you read back your own diary, do you want an entry full of just recaps? It felt like it was for other people not for yourself - but I could be completely wrong of course. Grammar: Odd slips, nothing major… I’ll let you off this entry! (8/10) Glitter: You have a few, to name some – About Me, Cast, 101… other then that your extras were really just reviews and rings – which weren’t hugely impressive, but it’s alright. I liked your 101 Facts, I hope it didn’t get too cold sitting there naked for an hour typing it all. Hmm, but swiftly moving on – I think you need to add some stuff to spice it up, but as it is – it’s not bad… (10/15) Extra Credit: You update a lot, a whole lot… and your entries are so detailed… Hmm, and final thing – I hadn’t seen ‘what was I doing 1 year ago/2years ago’ before, and thought it was a peculiar – yet interesting addition. (3/5) Lasting Impression: Hmm, I’m not sure – I’ll probably keep you in mind – you seem to be a difficult person to forget, but perhaps I’ll remember it because it took me so long to get through all your entries to be able to do a half-decent review! (5/10) Will I Come Back?: Not frequently, but I might pop back to see how things are going on occasion – you have that unpredictability that means anything could of happened, so I’d be interested to see what does. (5/10) Total: 122/160 Number of Entries Read: Lots and lots, all of the last few months worth and random ones from before that… Favorite Entry: This one… what can I say I’m A sex and the city fan… Favorite Quote:”I guess time flies when you're trying to defend your sexual relationship with your cheating ex boyfriend.” Comments: Not sure what it was – there just wasn’t a huge appeal for me personally in the majority of your entries, though I can see that you’re a good writer and you really do seem – different – in a good way of course!!
